Anteryon, producer of miniature optical modules based on wafers for mobile phone cameras and laser projection, and Qualcomm Incorporated have signed a strategic investment agreement from Qualcomm to Arnteryonas part of its European investment fund. Qualcomm Ventures Europe is leading this initiative, with the participation of BNP Paribas Private Equity and Finance Biggell as shareholders and the investment fund Belgian Quest for Growth as a new investor. The investment will be used for the production of optical modules WaferOptics technology and expansion of production capacity in Asia Anteryon. The unique technology, tested and patented WaferOptics of Anteryon has revolutionized the production of optical modules, miniature cameras and laser projection. Wafer-scale production allows for extensive miniaturization and reduce costs. Also, use the same format CMOS image sensors, enabling full integration and optical sensors and greatly simplifies the production of camera modules.
