Before joining ROHM in 2015, Aly Mashaly had already accumulated over 20 years of experience in the electronics industry. He is an expert in power electronics, particularly in automotive applications. He has also worked for several years as a development engineer and project manager in the fields of electric mobility and aerospace applications.

Mashaly is also a regular speaker at various conferences, including PCIM, ECPE, EPE, and CS International. Mashaly holds a degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo and Leibniz University in Hanover, where he studied electrical engineering.

Upon assuming her new role at ROHM, Mashaly has set ambitious goals: “With our highly qualified team, our technical services, and our high-quality products, we strive for excellence to always be a competent partner for our customers. Furthermore, we aim to be providers and partners of innovative solutions that help our society overcome some of the pressing challenges of our time,” says Mashaly. “I would also like to express my gratitude to my predecessor, Günter Richard, who established the Applications and Technical Solutions Center in 2019 and whose assistance greatly facilitated my transition,” Mashaly adds.

Aly Mashaly will report directly to Wolfram Harnack, President of ROHM Semiconductor Europe: “Based on his vast and proven technical expertise, as well as his demonstrated leadership and commitment to ROHM, I am convinced that Mr. Mashaly will take ATSC and customer service to an even higher level,” concludes Wolfram Harnack.
