Power Module is designed for installation in new or existing data centers that require a flexible and agile way to increase their resilience and power distribution capacity. It can also be deployed outside existing facilities, freeing up valuable internal data center space that could otherwise be used for more IT equipment. Furthermore, Power Module offers "hot-swapping," meaning that the electrical capacity of an installation can be expanded simply by adding new units or increasing the number of modular UPSs within it, all without interrupting critical workloads. Power Module is available as modular and scalable systems sized for up to 600 kVA of UPS-protected power and up to 1200 kVA for fixed-capacity systems.
modular growth
have been designed to respond to the growing demand for new formats for PFM data centers (data centers created from prefabricated modules), capable of complementing and in some cases replacing traditionally built data centers.
“In all the regions where we operate, we are seeing increasing demand for agile data center infrastructures, both in terms of scalability and power supply, that can be deployed quickly and offer a consistent design,” says Viktor Petik, Vice President of Global Solutions for Vertiv in EMEA. “With SmartMod and Power Module, Vertiv continues its long track record of success in designing modular data center solutions tailored to the needs of its customers worldwide, who can now scale their capacity with the added benefits of standardization, more predictable costs, and a consistent user experience.”
