Now, SICK's Ruler3002, 3004, and 3010 cameras extend the performance of the Ruler3000 to guarantee fields of view up to 26.6 mm. The addition of a high-power 3R blue laser gives the three smaller cameras the fast exposure times needed to capture the finest three-dimensional details at high production speeds. The addition of the mid-range Ruler 3060 camera, with a 740 mm field of view, is aimed at applications in the automotive and consumer goods sectors.

The SICK Ruler3000 achieves high repeatability accuracy on light, reflective, and metallic surfaces. In addition, a new patent-pending Surface+ technology adds another dimension of imaging, revealing even the smallest scratches on smooth, shiny metallic surfaces.

The new cameras in the Ruler3000 range are capable of capturing 3D images and measurements of both reflectance and scatter light at speeds up to 46 kHz in a single scan.

The cameras' light sensitivity and high dynamic range (HDR) also help optimize inspections regardless of contrast or very different light levels within the same scene.

The Ruler3004 measures 129.5 x 60.3 x 100 mm (length x width x height). All of them incorporate SICK's high-sensitivity CMOS sensor, innovative ROCC (Fast On-Chip Calculation) technology, extract the true 3D shape of an object regardless of its contrast or color, and process up to 15.4 Gp/s to enable up to 7,000 3D profiles per second.

Machine integration is very intuitive thanks to SICK's simple Stream Setup interface, and SICK's GenIStream API simplifies programming for C# and C++ users. Furthermore, full compatibility with industry standards such as GigEvision and GenICam provides plug-and-play access to third-party software such as HALCON and LabVIEW. Developers have access to SICK's AppSpace software platform, with its range of image processing tools and application examples.
