The new Preventa XPS MCM is a configurable, integrated safety controller designed to protect industrial machinery and its operators from incidents involving moving machine parts. It is capable of controlling various safety functions, including emergency stop, and perimeter, position, and speed protection devices.

: The XPS MCM is a modular controller suitable for safety applications requiring compliance with up to PLe/Category 4 according to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL3 according to EN/IEC 61508.
The controller has a CPU with 8 digital safety inputs and 2 dual digital outputs, expandable to 128 digital safety inputs and 16 dual digital outputs (relay or digital). Configuration expansion is possible thanks to a wide range of expansion modules. Up to 6 secure remote stations can be established using secure communication, with a distance of up to 50 meters between each station. Expansion is possible directly from the expansion bus connectors or via the secure expansion bus.
