The new analyzer incorporates improved high-speed FPGA signal processing to achieve processing power and accuracy comparable to its predecessor PPA2500, while also combining new features from the current series.
With a continuous sampling rate of 2 MS/s and a nominal accuracy of 0.03%, the PPA4500 is perfectly suited for both R&D applications and embedded test system environments. Its phase accuracy of 0.005°, characteristic of the best power analyzers on the market, makes it an ideal solution for transformer loss testing with low power factors and PWM motor analysis.
It incorporates user interface improvements such as a color display and a front USB port for data storage. Like its predecessor, it offers RS232 and USB interfaces, speed and torque measurement inputs for motors, and Master/Slave expansion for 6 phases, with optional GPIB and/or LAN interfaces. Isolated voltage and current inputs are provided on each phase, up to 1000Vrms and 10, 30, or 50 Arms. Each phase also has an external BNC voltage input and an external BNC current input to extend the voltage and current ranges and thus address any electrical power analysis application.
All N4L power analyzers are now supplied with UKAS ISO17025 calibration certificate and 3-year warranty, proof of N4L's commitment and reliability in the power market.
