It features a 6,000-count, 50mm color TFT display that shows hot spots detected using FLIR's IGM™ thermal imaging technology (infrared-guided measurement). This feature allows electricians to diagnose faults easily and safely without touching wiring or components. For example, the FLIR CM174 can identify an overheated motor or a loose connection without direct contact.
IGM technology allows you to work safely (with a safe distance) and find anomalies without being in contact with the panels.
The FLIR CM174 captures a field of view of 38.6° x 50°, with a resolution of 480 pixels and a temperature range of -25°C to 150°C.
The thermal imaging functionality enhances the already high performance of the FLIR CM174 clamp meter. The built-in light is extremely useful in adverse conditions. Measurement modes include True RMS, LoZ, VFD mode, Inrush, and Smart Diode with Disable. If needed, the measurement range can be extended up to 3,000 Amps AC with FLIR FLEX accessories.
