The PVCHECK measures the insulation resistance of the active conductors of a module, string, or entire photovoltaic array according to IEC/EN 62446, without requiring an external switch to short-circuit the positive and negative terminals. Furthermore, the PVCHECK allows for the verification of the functionality of photovoltaic array connections and strings according to IEC/EN 62446 by measuring the open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current under operating conditions (OPC) and referenced to STC (via irradiance measurement). It provides an immediate result inherent to the previously performed measurement, both in absolute terms and by comparison with previously tested strings. Finally, the PVCHECK also enables the analysis of photovoltaic array performance (CC) under operating conditions (connected to the inverter), providing an indication of the generated power and the array's efficiency as specified in IEC/EN 62446.

HT Instruments presents the PVCHECK multifunction instrument, which enables the quick and safe execution of electrical safety checks for PV installations (partially DC installations) and the functional testing of the modules/strings that comprise the same installation, as specified by IEC Guide 82-25 and the standards cited therein (IEC 64/8 and IEC/EN62446). Specifically, the PVCHECK measures the continuity of protective conductors and their connections.
