The Intel® RealSense™ Digital Camera combines a 1080p HD camera with the most compact Infrared Laser Projector on the market, offering a 60% improvement in range. It also features an Infrared Camera with an optimized IR sensor, supporting up to 200 fps, over 18 million 3D points per second, and three times the signal quality of previous alternatives. With all this, the camera "sees" like the human eye to perceive depth and track movement.
The second-generation ASIC with RGB latency of <1 ms offers a standalone mode with automatic exposure and range. The system module features a >5x power reduction in standby mode, an option to "wake up" the RealSense sensor, and a 340 mW reduction in active power consumption. The software is characterized by the new "Virtual Stylus" gesture recognition mode (with jitter-free hover) and twice the gesture speed (up to 2 m/s).
