Air taxi operators are not intimidated by the nearly 200 organizations designing electric vertical takeoff aircraft. The IDTechEx report providing the big picture is "Manned Electric Aircraft: Smart City and Regional 2021-2041.".
Air taxi operators have placed large orders with a company that follows the Tesla model and manufactures entirely fixed-wing aircraft with conventional takeoff. Thanks to their extreme lightness, efficiency, and aerodynamics, Bye Aerospace has over $250 million in orders for two- and four-seat aircraft from air taxi operators and flight schools. They have invested only $24 million to produce certifiable demonstrators.

Ingeteam and BYD have tested and certified in their respective R&D laboratories the compatibility of BYD's Battery-Box Premium HVS and HVM high-voltage batteries with Ingeteam's INGECON® SUN STORAGE 1Play TL M hybrid inverter (photovoltaic + batteries).
The combined use of both devices allows for the creation of hybrid systems that combine photovoltaic generation and energy storage, without the need for additional photovoltaic inverters. Furthermore, the Ingeteam hybrid inverter, in combination with BYD batteries, enables operation in off-grid mode, backup (UPS) mode, and self-consumption mode. Thus, in grid-connected installations, it becomes possible to store the solar energy generated during the day for consumption at night, achieving the highest possible self-consumption rates without the risk of power outages during grid failures, thanks to the backup (UPS) mode capability.
BYD's high-voltage lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, with capacities ranging from 5.1 kWh to 22.1 kWh (depending on the model), are designed for residential and commercial use. Their patented modular connection design allows different battery modules to be connected without wiring, greatly simplifying and speeding up installation. Specifically, the BYD battery models compatible with the Ingeteam hybrid inverter are: HVS (5.1, 7.7, and 10.2 kWh) and HVM (8.3, 11.0, 13.8, 16.6, 19.3, and 22.1 kWh).
The Ingeteam inverter allows you to connect both a battery bank and two photovoltaic arrays to a single unit, reducing the overall system cost. It features two photovoltaic inputs, each with its own Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) system, enabling it to manage up to 11.5 kW of solar panel power that can be installed on a roof with two orientations. This single-phase inverter, available in 3 or 6 kW versions, is transformerless and designed for residential and commercial installations. Furthermore, this inverter comes standard with the EMS control system, allowing for advanced functionalities without the need for any additional control devices.
Hybrid system monitoring is carried out easily and intuitively thanks to the software developed by Ingeteam: INGECON® SUN Monitor, which allows access to all the data of the photovoltaic installation, batteries, etc., so that the user has total control over their electricity consumption.
