In both 14 mm and 30 mm resolutions, blind spots are a thing of the past thanks to a unique cable exit system. The height of the protective field can be selected in 150 mm increments, from a minimum of 300 mm to a maximum of 2100 mm. This allows the deTec4 Core to provide complete access protection in accordance with EN ISO 13855. Regarding range, options include 7 m for a 14 mm resolution and 10 m for a 30 mm resolution.
Since the sensor operates solely in protection mode, it requires no configuration. Additional functions can be integrated using SICK's Flexi Classic and Flexi Soft safety relays or safety controllers. The deTec4 Core automatically and accurately adjusts the device's range during commissioning; furthermore, its alignment indicator ensures quick and safe positioning of the transmitter and receiver.
Thanks to its IP 65 and IP 67 protection classes and its temperature range of -30 to +55 °C, the new safety light curtain can also be used in demanding environments.
