It has been designed to align with the optimized performance of other components in the X-ray inspection imaging chain for a wide range of applications, including the automotive, aerospace, and metal fabrication industries, for inspecting welds, composites, and cast parts, as well as for computed tomography and metrology. It will be of particular interest to system integrators in both the industrial and scientific sectors.
The reliability of the new ISOVOLT Lynx platform, initially available in 160 kV and 320 kV versions, stems from its state-of-the-art, adaptable electronic components with high-frequency MOS-FET drives. These components are designed and sized for industrial applications and are fully cooled for high-performance operating cycles and easy installation. The modular, field-replaceable generator units minimize downtime, and online monitoring and logging of relevant data enable better interpretation of events. External diagnostic tools are available for troubleshooting. Ease of integration into both new and existing systems is a major advantage of ISOVOLT Lynx, as it is backward compatible with previous interface configurations and electrical systems. Its tube database contains all known standard tubes, whose individual characteristics and operating instructions can be selected via a menu. The integrated power factor correction ensures highly efficient use of power from a single mains input, and the rapid startup time, thanks to the electronic components, enables quick inspection cycles on production lines. The new generator's light weight and compact environmental impact greatly facilitate its integration into production equipment, and its fail-safe operation and intrinsic safety mechanisms are key design features. It is available as a slim version with remote control, perfectly suited for integration into production equipment, or can be supplied with an optional color touchscreen graphic display for applications requiring frequent user intervention.
