The PASCAL Ci4 model measures pressure within a nominal range of 250 millibars to 400 bar, with an accuracy of 0.1% and a measurement frequency of up to 100 Hz. It is available in different versions to meet various application needs, including a hygienic version for the food and pharmaceutical industries. ATEX II 1/2 G Ex ia IIC certifications for temperature groups T4, T5, and T6, as well as II 1/2 D Ex ia IIIC certifications, confirm the devices' high level of intrinsic safety in both gas and dust explosive environments. In addition to meeting the requirements set with regard to its Security Integrity Level (SIL2), the design of the transmitters and their software also allows the devices in the PASCAL Ci4 range to be suitable for use in security-critical environments.
The PASCAL Ci4 and PASCAL Ci4 Delta P models can be integrated into FDT/DTM-based systems such as PactWare or FieldCare. They can also be flexibly integrated into control systems based on the HART 7 protocol and controlled via systems such as SIMATIC PDM or 375/475 field communicators.
The entire display and control unit of the pressure transmitters can be detached and housed in a special enclosure, allowing for installation up to 10 meters from the measurement point. This ensures that even when the measuring module is installed in remote or difficult-to-access locations, reliable readings can be obtained, and the device can be controlled via the control unit, which remains connected to the pressure transmitter by cables.
Its wide range of parameterization, simulation, and diagnostic functions are particularly practical for the user. Furthermore, they provide greater safety by preventing potential user errors. Among the diagnostic functions is a maintenance timer. After a user-defined number of days, the timer will remind the user to check the device.
