Due to its very small beam angle at the apex, only four degrees, disturbances caused by obstacles on the silo wall or other mounted elements are minimized. Furthermore, its design allows for installation anywhere within the silo. The graphical wizard effectively assists the user during commissioning. In this way, the Sitrans LR560 is operational in just a few minutes and delivers precise and reliable measurements even without the need for fine-tuning.

 

The Sitrans LR560 is available with Hart, Profibus PA, or Foundation Feldbus connectivity. Local programming is performed using integrated keys or a handheld infrared programmer. The Sitrans LR560 also supports remote configuration and diagnostics via Siemens Simatic PDM (Process Device Manager), Emerson AMS, or PACTware when using Siemens DTM. The backlit display can be rotated to four positions for optimal visibility. A newly developed lenticular antenna is used for the first time in the Sitrans LR560. In addition to its compact design, it is notable for its high immunity to material deposits; furthermore, its integrated sweep connection allows for the rapid removal of adhering bulk materials. Due to the high operating frequency, precise instrument aiming is not usually required. An adjustable flange is available as an option to direct the beam to a specific point, such as the silo outlet.
