In vapor phase welding (condensation welding), the welding process is carried out using hot steam. Heat transfer here is up to ten times greater than in convection welding. This allows the Rehm Condenso series to machine large, heavy plates in stable atmospheres using innovative, reliable vacuum technology. The CondensoXM smart vapor phase welding system can be integrated into any manufacturing environment: it can be implemented as an island solution for multiple production areas and loaded manually. Alternatively, loading can be automated using a pre-loaded handling system. To achieve optimal in-line capacity, the CondensoXM smart is equipped with an external return conveyor. This reduces cycle times and ensures optimal welding results, even with a high number of parts. For loading or unloading components, the CondensoXM smart can be opened on the handling side. This allows components to be manually placed or removed from a merchandise carrier already in the system. The merchandise carrier remains in place within the system, enabling ergonomic loading.

The CondensoXM smart can be equipped with an additional vacuum pump. This increases safety, which is especially important for critical components with higher vacuum requirements. Furthermore, using two vacuum pumps reduces cycle times and thus increases productivity, particularly in applications with vacuums below 10 mbar. With the vacuum option, virtually bubble-free soldering results can also be achieved. After soldering, the components are sent to the cooling process. Simultaneously, the gas generated during the process is extracted and cleaned. This allows for the reuse of a large portion of Galden®, a particularly material- and environmentally friendly solution. The negative pressure generated during extraction also ensures rapid drying of the soldered component. The extracted Galden® is filtered, and impurities are removed using granules. This allows for the recovery of approximately 99.9% of the medium.

Flexible cooling options inside and outside the processing chamber ensure optimal cooling rates and the correct temperature for subsequent production processes, such as X-ray inspection or functional testing.
