The optris PI LightWeight remains the only system on the market that generates complete radiometric video recordings. Recordings can be started and stopped remotely and edited afterward. The system features a dedicated interface for GoPro visual cameras. It is also compatible with USB GPS modules, and geographic coordinates can be saved to each individual image. The new PI LightWeight can be equipped with either the optris PI 450 camera (382 x 288 px) or the optris PI 640 VGA camera (640 x 480 px). It allows for video recording at up to 80 Hz in QVGA resolution and up to 125 Hz in VGA subframe mode (640 x 120 px). Using the license-free PI Connect analysis software, high-resolution individual images can be extracted and analyzed from the video data. The cameras are powered via the miniature PC's USB connection and have a spectral range of 7.5 to 13 µm. Furthermore, depending on the application, four different lenses are available for each model.
