This new training program delves into the design, application, verification, and validation of the safety of complex systems, based on the EN ISO 13849 and EN IEC 62061 standards.

The new training is certified by TÜV NORD, an internationally recognized accrediting body, which grants the holder the title of "CEFS - Certified Expert in Functional Safety." It provides expert-level technical knowledge in the field of functional safety and is offered in person on October 16 and 17 in Barcelona, with 16 hours spread over two days; and online from April 24 to 27, with the same duration spread over four days.

Applicable regulations and a practical approach:
Launched in 2023 by Pilz, the course provides in-depth knowledge of the applicable standards and addresses a practical approach to designing complex safety systems. Participants are guided through the process, from a fundamental understanding of the required regulations, through the specification of safety requirements, to the design of a safety control system and its validation.

The CEFS course is aimed at machine manufacturers, design engineers, and integrators with particular responsibility for safe control systems. It is also recommended for individuals responsible for the safety of new and existing machines in daily operations, such as design engineers (in electrical systems and fluid technology), engineering technical managers, safety engineers, safety control system programmers, project engineers, systems integrators, test engineers responsible for machinery validation, and so on. New training offerings

for the new year:
In addition to the CEFS course, Pilz has introduced other new training programs in its 2023 calendar to address the needs arising in current and future industry. These sessions, led by experts in various safety fields and members of different standards bodies, are detailed below:

'LoTo: Lockout/Tagout': This course delves into the legal requirements, practical examples, and implementation scenarios for energy-related lockout systems and the safety of energy supplies in machines.

'Robot Safety and Integration': provides those integrating robotic applications with an understanding of the essential requirements for robot safety and collaborative functions, with a review of the scope of the international standards ISO 10218-1 and 2.

'Electrical Safety in Industrial Installations - IEC 60204': addresses the fundamentals of electrical safety in installations and machinery, with particular attention to the requirements of IEC 60204 for designing, constructing, installing, verifying, and maintaining electrical equipment in industrial machinery and applications.

'CECE Recertification': to stay current, it is essential to renew the CECE certificate every four years, ensuring that the qualification remains valid and guarantees up-to-date knowledge.
