Students who successfully complete the nanodegree program, which is expected to last about three months, will receive a diploma from Udacity.
Students will have the opportunity to complete three real-world projects, all reviewed and approved by Udacity's network of reviewers. Those who successfully complete the nanodegree program will receive a Udacity certification and possess a professional skill set to apply AI in edge computing environments.
For students unable to complete the full nanodegree program, the Intel® AI Fundamentals for Edge Environments with OpenVINO™ course offers a portion of the program content for free. This course does not include projects or mentor support, but it does provide comprehensive knowledge on how to develop AI solutions for edge computing environments.
The nanodegree program will introduce students to Intel’s OpenVINO toolkit, which enables developers to deploy pre-trained deep learning models through a high-level C++ or Python inference engine API integrated with application logic. Based on convolutional neural networks, the OpenVINO toolkit allows graduates to maximize application performance across a range of heterogeneous Intel architectures to deliver fast and efficient deep learning workloads. Anyone working for an enterprise can also leverage Intel DevCloud for the Edge to develop, test, and run their workloads on a cluster powered by the latest Intel hardware and software.
