Furthermore, the steps companies must take to facilitate the transition to digitalization will be addressed. This will all be done from the perspective of the needs and specific characteristics of plastics companies, with input from leading companies in each Industry 4.0 technology, such as Kuka Robots, Omron, and Nunsys, and with sponsorship from Doeet, who will discuss the Industrial Digitalization process in the plastics sector.

The first session of the day will begin with a presentation by Víctor Sevilla, an engineering researcher at AIMPLAS, who will discuss the current state of the plastics sector in Industry 4.0. Following this, Vicente Sánchez, from Nunsys, will address Deep Learning in the plastics industry, while Raúl Hussein, from ITI, will explain how Artificial Intelligence solutions can contribute to Industry 4.0.

In the second session, David Vázquez from Kuka will discuss the efficiency of robotics in the plastics industry, and Carlos Roncero from Omron will explain how digitalization can contribute to production personalization with his presentation, “Made for Me: Flexible Production.” Sponsor Doeet will participate in the event with Cristina Flores presenting “7 Answers to 7 Questions about an Industrial Digitalization Process in the Plastics Sector,” and Alberto Pérez, an Engineering researcher at AIMPLAS, will talk about the applications and advantages of Additive Manufacturing in Industry 4.0.

After the lunch break and a visit to the AIMPLAS facilities, Joaquín Castán, an engineering researcher at AIMPLAS, will speak about the development of smart devices through In-Mould Electronics. This will be followed by a discussion of the various financing tools for Industry 4.0. To conclude the day, Sergio Gordillo and Noelia Segarra, from the Official College of Industrial Engineers, will present the advantages of the Acelera Pyme office, which addresses the challenges faced by companies in the plastics sector during the digital transition.
