The cables in the Exzhellent Solar range are suitable for a maximum voltage of 1.8 kV DC and a maximum conductor temperature of 120°C. There are models for mobile service (ZZ-F, with class 5 tinned copper conductor) and for fixed service (XZ1FA3Z-K, with class 5 copper conductor).

Exzhellent Solar cables for fixed service are highly resistant to rodent action and provide effective mechanical protection during laying, installation and service.

These cables have also been designed to withstand the extreme environmental conditions found in photovoltaic installations, whether fixed or mobile, rooftop or architecturally integrated. Exzhellent Solar cables can withstand temperatures as low as -40°C and are also resistant to ultraviolet rays, ozone, and water absorption.

Equally noteworthy are their mechanical characteristics, such as abrasion resistance (UNE-EN 50305) and tear resistance (UNE-EN 60811). Exzhellent Solar cables constitute a true range of High Security (HS) cables, as they are halogen-free (UNE-EN 50267-2-1), have low emissions of acidic and corrosive gases (UNE-EN 50267-2-2), are flame retardant (UNE-EN 50266-2-4), and are characterized by low smoke opacity (UNE-EN 61034-2).

With General Cable's Exzhellent Solar cables, maximum efficiency can be achieved in this type of photovoltaic installation, as they guarantee a minimum lifespan of 30 years.
