The modules incorporate radio components and highly reliable input/output processing circuits, allowing easy control of up to six contacts.
MSK modulation and high receive sensitivity (-120 dBm 12 dB SINAD) ensure good noise immunity and stable communication, while the 10 mW battery-powered transmitter has a line of sight of over 1 km.
Four different pre-programmed frequencies can be selected using DIP switches, allowing simultaneous use in the same area. The frequencies have third-order intermodulation and are programmed to have minimal impact on each other.
Each transmitter module has a unique 32-bit identifier to prevent errors caused by signals received from other transmitters operating on the same frequency. The security of this system is extensively demonstrated by the more than 1 million Circuit Design remote control units that incorporate it.
Up to 100 transmitter IDs can be registered on a single receiver. This ensures that controlling one receiver from multiple transmitters, or controlling multiple receivers from a single transmitter, is possible and can be done without fear of malfunction.
The receiver's output ports use photoMOSFETs as the interface, allowing direct control of loads up to 48 VAC/VDC and 100 mA. Furthermore, four operating modes (continuous, switching, toggle, and trigger) are available, depending on the requirements. In continuous mode, the output port is active as long as the unit is receiving a signal from the transmitter. In the other modes, the output port's state changes according to the selected mode when the unit receives momentary signals from the transmitter. When the transmitter output is short-lived, the impact on other equipment using the same frequency is minimized. Radio signals are used more efficiently, and the transmitter consumes less power.
