The two new water-cooled laser diode heatsinks efficiently draw heat from powerful laser diodes across smaller surfaces, improving performance efficiency and extending lifespan. The curamik CoolPerformance Plus heatsinks are engineered to deliver excellent cooling performance using OFHC copper and a highly conductive ceramic substrate, which, combined, produce a precisely controllable coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE).

In addition to curamik CoolPerformance/Plus, curamik CoolPower/Plus and curamik CoolEasy, laser and photonics-based cooling solutions will also be showcased. curamik CoolPower/Plus heatsinks are produced from multiple layers of pure copper. These heatsinks are manufactured using curamik's unique bonding process to achieve airtight, multi-layered structures without soldering or additional adhesive layers. Curamik cooling solutions are also used to cool high-performance LED and lidar applications.
Photonics West is the world's largest multidisciplinary event for laser, photonics, and biomedical optics products and technologies, with over 22,000 visitors expected for the week-long event in 2020, featuring 1,400 exhibiting companies. Photonics West includes a scientific conference with over 5,200 presentations specializing in three areas: biomedical optics and biophotonics, laser sources and lasers, and optoelectronic materials and devices. At Booth 4360, Rogers PES staff will be showcasing examples of their latest heat sinks and providing advice on product applications in lasers, photonic designs, and other applications.
