These NTCs can be used as inrush current limiting devices in power circuits by placing them in series with the circuit to be protected. Initially, they exhibit high resistance, preventing the high inrush current from flowing. As electrical current begins to flow, the NTC heats up and its resistance value decreases, allowing greater current flow during normal equipment operation.
