TIMLIGHT gap pads are available in various thermal conductivity levels and thicknesses to compensate for mechanical tolerances between heat-generating and heat-sink components. Thanks to their high adaptability, they easily integrate into irregular geometries and complex surfaces, promoting efficient heat transfer to the chassis or cooling system.
This reduces the overall thermal resistance and protects electronics from performance degradation caused by temperature increases, as well as from potential failures resulting from overheating. Applications include power electronics for automotive and electromobility applications, battery and energy storage systems, and a wide range of industrial electronic equipment where thermal reliability and long-term stability are essential.

Available in several performance levels, the TIMLIGHT range offers thermal conductivities of 1.5, 3.0, and 5.0 W/m·K, combined with optimized softness (Shore 00) to meet a wide variety of applications.
The material's low hardness allows it to conform to component irregularities, compensating for mechanical tolerances and ensuring reliable and efficient thermal contact with low compressive force.
Typical thicknesses range from approximately 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm, in standard 0.5 mm increments, accommodating both small and large mechanical clearances.

One of TIMLIGHT's key features is its optimized two-layer structure, designed for easy assembly. It combines an extremely soft, self-adhesive base, which promotes compressibility, with a thin, firmer, low-tack silicone surface layer of 0.2 mm. This simplifies liner removal and improves handling during manual or automated pick-and-place assembly processes.
By design, TIMLIGHT sheets offer electrical insulation. In combination with optional insulating films such as polyamide (PI), polyethylene (PET), or polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), they can meet the demanding dielectric requirements of the automotive industry, even in applications subjected to severe vibration and mechanical stress, making them suitable for high-voltage systems.
The TIMLIGHT1.5 version also features a low outgassing formulation with less than 70 ppm of low molecular weight siloxanes (D4–D10) and offers a flammability rating equivalent to UL94 V-0 in a typical operating range of −40 °C to 150 °C.
Available in sheet format and adaptable through die-cutting processes, the TIMLIGHT series allows for the development of scalable solutions, from small pads to large-format applications for battery modules or busbar cooling. These performance characteristics have already been demonstrated in a pilot project for electric vehicles, where the combination of TIMLIGHT gap pads and insulating film met the most demanding dielectric requirements for electric vehicle busbar applications and reinforced SEKISUI's value proposition for the customer.
“With the TIMLIGHT range, we offer our customers a solution that combines reliable thermal performance with the high quality standards they expect from SEKISUI,” says Peter Hasch, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at SEKISUI POLYMATECH EUROPE. “TIMLIGHT has been conceived as a constantly evolving portfolio, defined by application experience and close collaboration with customers, to ensure sustained quality and long-term reliability in demanding electronic applications.”
