The new Pro-C unit is characterized by its flexibility and modularity, with a cooling capacity range of 30 to 210 kW. Its high efficiency is achieved through the optimized coil design, state-of-the-art EC fans with active harmonic filters, and the integration of dynamic balancing valves. Reliability is guaranteed by its advanced control system and numerous optional features, such as the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), which prevents power supply failures.
Features
- The Pro-C unit's design is highly flexible thanks to its modular concept, allowing it to adapt to the needs of any data center. Each module consists of two parts (heat exchanger and fans), and one to four modules can be combined. This range can also be customized for installation through a raised floor or for installations without a raised floor.
The hydraulic circuit is designed to operate with high temperature differences, and the fin thickness provides greater robustness and a longer lifespan for these units, which operate in critical applications 24 hours a day. Because they work with higher water temperatures, these units can be connected to free-cooling chillers, taking advantage of favorable outdoor conditions for many hours a year to cool the water without needing to start the compressors.
- EC fans with active power factor correction (PFC) that adapt the cooling power delivered to the needs of the installation and respond dynamically to variations in demand generated by the activity of the servers.
- It features dynamic balancing valves to manage water flow. This ensures a stable flow rate, better control of the supply temperature, and improved system efficiency.
Daikin's control solution includes a teamwork function, which allows multiple units to be coordinated and operate with redundancy to provide added safety during failures or critical states. This function enables the capacity of each unit to be individually adjusted based on real-time data from the control room.
The new Pro-C range features an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), allowing the fans to activate as soon as the ATS restores power. This way, the fan reaches maximum speed in less than a minute.
