In these types of bearings, oil-air lubrication is often preferred to ensure reliable lubrication even at extremely high speeds. Specifically for the stringent requirements in this application, Klüber Lubrication has developed the new Klübersynth FB series of PAO-based synthetic oils. These products feature a high degree of purity (ISO 4406 15/13/10) and are available in ISO VG viscosities of 32, 46, and 68.
The performance capability of Klübersynth FB 4-68 was tested and confirmed up to an extreme speed factor above 2.52 million for high-speed bearings, in research conducted by the modern production engineering institute “Werkzeugmaschinenlabor WZL”, of RWTH Aachen (Germany).
