The Liebert PDX range offers exceptional energy efficiency through direct and indirect free cooling technologies, supported by direct expansion refrigeration technologies that set new industry standards for efficiency and flexibility.
Equipped with the latest industry technologies, the Liebert PDX provides full performance capability and airflow modulation. The range combines the advantages of an electronic expansion valve with highly efficient humidifiers, enabling precise, safe, and efficient operation within data center environments under all conditions.
Featuring both direct and indirect water free cooling, the Liebert PDX range can be deployed across a full range of data center environments, from 30 kW to 500 kW and beyond. It overcomes the limitations of direct expansion (DX) refrigeration technology by allowing operation at high return temperatures of up to 38 degrees Celsius and reducing energy consumption by up to 30 percent in a real-world data center application.
Emerson Network Power's iCOM™ control integrates indoor unit operations with the outdoor microchannel condensers. The introduction of Liebert MC, a new product designed and manufactured by Emerson Network Power, allows the system to be optimized to meet customer needs. Significant energy savings can also be achieved through the modular deployment of the units, using an integrated Ethernet connection to efficiently monitor and coordinate units within the same data center space.
Liebert PDX cooling units also provide users with LIFE™ remote diagnostic technology. This enables proactive equipment maintenance, reduces downtime, and allows for comprehensive energy planning and management, maximizing return on investment and increasing system availability for the business.
The Liebert PDX range is the newest cooling unit in Emerson Network Power's recently established Thermal Management business line. The Thermal Management business line, which incorporates Liebert's existing expertise and assets, will expand Emerson Network Power's ability to develop and deliver more holistic, next-generation approaches to data center environment control. The new Thermal Management business line will focus on creating the next generation of data center cooling infrastructure, encompassing innovative software, hardware, and services optimized to reliably, efficiently, and cost-effectively control and manage heat.
