Superplate radiators can be manufactured with copper or stainless steel tubes, or without tubes by directly drilling into the aluminum plate. One of the most notable advantages of this range is the ability to separate the power generation area, typically small, from the heat dissipation area. This system also helps avoid noise problems caused by fan vibration, and these water coolers can be used in dusty environments where forced ventilation is not a viable option.
Superplate radiators can be easily mounted in a typical cooling system consisting of a pump, expansion tank, heat exchanger, etc.
These radiators allow for component mounting on either side, although the best thermal performance is achieved on the side where the water tubes are mounted.
