WXsmart is a centralized station that serves multiple users, from operators and supervisors to R&D and repair departments, and all soldering applications, including high-precision post-soldering, general-purpose micro-soldering, high-performance ultrasoldering, repair, desoldering, and hot air soldering. It can control multiple devices and processes simultaneously, including fume extraction, the preheating plate, and the solder bath. It is also compatible with Weller's new WXair two-in-one rework module, which features both an air channel and a vacuum channel.
This system provides complete process control, from the soldering iron to the soldering station. The new smart soldering tips with integrated chips offer very fast heating (typically around 3 seconds), automatic tip identification, integrated data storage and individual serial numbers for full traceability, and tip shift and lock functions. The new range of soldering irons includes specifications compliant with WXMPS MS and WXUPS MS (MIL-SPEC) T0052923599.
A full range of fast connectivity options is available via Wi-Fi, LAN, USB, and two RS232 ports. Compatibility with IoT and Industry 4.0 standards enables easy remote control via mobile device, with full traceability and integration into existing ERP systems. The Weller Smart Control app provides a real-time control panel on PCs, smartphones, and tablets.
WXsmart can perform robust self-calibration in under 10 seconds using its associated high-precision Weller temperature measuring device. Advantages include digital logging for quality management and audits, full traceability of the calibration process, and automatic tip correction. It
also offers compatibility with previously used soldering, desoldering, and hot air tips and equipment. Safety features include a heat-resistant display, patented ESD protection, and ring-shaped LED lights.
