The units are powered by the high-efficiency KD83V16 engine, which has been optimized through modifications to the engine control unit software. This innovative approach has resulted in best-in-class power density and NOx emissions in a compact footprint.

Design features include a rigid chassis that integrates a mechanically driven fan, in line with a global design strategy for key markets, including EMEA and the United States. Cooling with a mechanical fan instead of an electric one eliminates the need for a motor and step-down transformer, reducing the size, weight, and complexity of the components.

The KD3750 is offered in two variants—the KD3750-F and the KD3750-E—with design temperatures of 50 and 40 degrees Celsius, respectively. These options provide end users with fuel- and emissions-optimized configurations to meet the requirements of their local markets.

The best-in-class power density is 150kVA/m², while NOx emissions are <2000mg/Nm3@5%O2 up to prime power.

The KD3750 is suitable for use with conventional diesel and renewable fuels, including hydrogen-treated vegetable oil (HVO). HVO, approved according to EN15940, is derived entirely from waste products and is up to 90% carbon neutral. It can be mixed directly in the generator's tanks with conventional diesel without any issues.
