The first product delivered as a result of the collaboration is the Astronics Frequency Time Interval Counter (FTIC) for PXI Express, modeled after the Astronics 200 MHz VXIbus universal counter. Designed to be fully TPS-compatible, the instrument can replace existing VXI-based FTICs and offer the same capabilities in a newer PXI-based subsystem. This upgrade was achieved using the existing VXI module's analog circuitry, firmware, and driver software. Once available, customers can purchase the Astronics FTIC for PXI Express and future products expected to be released as a result of the collaboration, as well as support services, through NI's worldwide sales channel.
