The “S-19100” series was specifically designed for use in cars and other in-vehicle equipment. Typical applications include engine ECUs (Electronic Control Units), ABS (Antilock Braking System), and related EV (Electric Vehicle) equipment, as well as HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) electronics.
Since voltage levels in automobiles can fluctuate during operation, especially during startup, onboard electronic systems use voltage detectors to monitor electrical levels and provide a reliable reset signal to ensure safe operation. Voltage detectors help protect the vehicle and its electronics from malfunction during electrical activation.
In addition to the 125°C components, the “S-19100” series also includes 105°C voltage detectors for less demanding and more price-sensitive applications, including navigation systems, in-car audio, and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). The device draws a typical current of 270 nA, the lowest in the industry for in-vehicle voltage detectors. The “S-19100” voltage detectors are available in SOT-23-5 (2.9 x 2.8 x 1.3 mm) and SC-82AB (2.0 x 2.1 x 1.1 mm) form factors.
