In addition to its energy-efficient operation, other key features of the CMSX positioner are its excellent price/performance ratio and the high level of process reliability it offers. This is ensured through its analog and digital feedback signals and its definable positions. The end positions can be flexibly defined using freely configurable analog signals. In the standard version of the positioner, its microcontroller continuously displays the feedback signals.
In closed-loop mode, the CMSX continuously compares the setpoint value with the actual position of the quarter-turn actuator. Discrepancies automatically trigger an error message and an emergency stop. In the event of a power failure, a safe position for the process valve can be predefined, thus minimizing risks during the production process.
