test-card-9780-wThe PCB controls all display modules in these product lines and, when combined with the free PC software StartDog.exe, allows for quick testing of all displays and lighting schemes in the DOG series. Commissioning requires no proprietary hardware or software development, meaning high-level decisions can be made very quickly and at minimal expense.

The board comes with a mounting bracket to accommodate all the aforementioned display modules. The PCB also contains the LED backlight driver circuit, as well as two banks of DIP switches that allow for multi-color backlighting, including full-color RGB lighting. No other hardware components are required—such as adapters, controller cards, power supplies, or similar items. Connection to the main PC is via the supplied USB cable. Once the breadboard is connected to the PC, the display immediately shows the content developed using StartDog.exe.

This software is available free of charge on the website's homepage and can be used even without a breadboard, meaning that text and bitmap graphics for display modules can be visualized directly. This display content is then loaded onto the breadboard and displayed. The program is largely self-explanatory and requires no prior software knowledge. Display content, sample schematics, and lighting can be developed and tested very quickly and at minimal cost.
