The processing unit runs a deterministic, real-time version of Linux with a fully programmable software application layer that helps blend custom requirements with off-the-shelf hardware. New systems are delivered with ready-to-use PMU technology that complies with ANSI C37.118.1a-2014, or as an open-source LabVIEW software project for customization.
