Through this interface, the R&S RTO, R&S RTE, and R&S RTM oscilloscopes automatically detect up to four current probes connected in parallel. The instruments also automatically adjust the vertical scale and zero. The degaussing function is activated directly on the instrument. The current probe is powered via the Rohde & Schwarz probe interface, eliminating the need for an external power supply. At a bandwidth of 100 MHz, the R&S RT-ZC20B can measure AC and DC currents up to 30 A (RMS) / 50 A (peak) with 10 mA resolution and low noise. In combination with the optional 16-bit high-definition R&S RTO/R&S RTE, currents below 1 mA can also be measured. This makes the current probe ideal for numerous power electronics applications, especially for evaluating switched-mode power supplies that require measuring high-frequency current components.
