S3DEL supplies micromachines and equipment to various sectors – from jewelry to the dental industry – specializing in customized solutions. The company was looking for a partner that could provide compact technology to reduce the size and weight of its machines without compromising performance. Local service and high-performance compact products from Inovance were the answer

The French OEM chose Inovance for its technical support and local engineering in France. The Inovance products selected by S3DEL were delivered within a very short timeframe. Another key factor was Inovance's communication and integrated ISO code interfaces. The Inovance solutions used in the micromachine include the ultra-compact, robust, and lightweight PA9000 EtherCAT CNC controller, which offers true five-axis technology (RTCP). In addition, S3DEL incorporated the compact, high-performance SV660N servo drive, the high-dynamic MS1 servo motor, the compact high-frequency MD200 AC drive, and other peripheral products such as I/O modules and line filters.

The latest generation S3DEL micromachine is lighter, more compact, and operates on 230V single-phase power instead of 400V three-phase. In addition to reduced size, weight, and power consumption, the micromachine is now much easier to move and handle. Besides generating financial savings, the device has a smaller carbon footprint. S3DEL emphasizes that close collaboration with Inovance engineers was key to meeting the demanding installation and commissioning deadlines.

Damien Chambrey, Managing Director of S3DEL, states: “The collaboration with the Inovance engineering team was a major factor in the project's success. Everyone involved gave 200%. We are pleased with the result and will certainly consider working with Inovance on future projects.”
Cedric Pujols, Country Manager of Inovance Technology France, adds: “We thoroughly enjoyed working with S3DEL on this exciting project. We were impressed that the company is not only focused on financial results but also has a strong commitment to reducing carbon emissions. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with S3DEL in the future.”
