With its numerous connectivity options, it stands out from the multitude of devices that, due to their size, approach the NUC (Next Computer Unit) standard. The NC01U features a Mini-DisplayPort, HDMI, Intel Gigabit Ethernet, audio, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, RS-232, and an M.2 slot. It also comes pre-installed with a hot-swappable wireless module with WLAN (802.11ac) and Bluetooth. The chassis can accommodate a 2.5" drive (SSD or HDD). The USB 3.0 ports can be used for fast charging of mobile devices. Each model can accommodate up to 16 GB of DDR3L (SO-DIMM) memory.

Ultra-high-resolution 4K content playback (3840 x 2160 pixels) is possible on NC01U variants with an Intel Core processor. The image signal can be transmitted at 60 Hz via Mini-DisplayPort and at 30 Hz via HDMI.

Another feature of these low-power barebones systems is the external PCI-Express connection, located on the bottom of the unit. This connection allows for future external expansion, such as dedicated AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards, an additional 2.5" drive, a network interface, and more USB and serial ports. Further details will be published soon.

The NC01U model features a quiet, heat pipe-based cooling system and measures only 141 x 141 x 29 mm (D x W x H).
All variants can be mounted on various surfaces and compatible monitors using the included VESA mount, making them virtually invisible on the desktop.
