Direct 800VDC to 12VDC Conversion:
The new PDB uses a single-stage conversion architecture that directly transforms the 800VDC input into a 12VDC output. This configuration eliminates the intermediate 50V to 12V conversion stage used in other power supply architectures and allows the 12V to be supplied directly to the voltage regulator module (VRM) responsible for powering the xPU processor. According to Navitas, reducing the number of conversion stages decreases electrical losses, reduces the board footprint, and simplifies the power supply system.

24 kW Power and 97% Target Efficiency:
The board is designed to deliver 24 kW of power, with a target efficiency of 97% at full load and a power density exceeding 2,000 W/cubic inch.
The solution is intended to power a compute tray.
The design utilizes NVIDIA's 400 × 60 mm form factor and allows the board to be integrated into the mainboard of the computing system, near the xPU processors.
This arrangement aims to reduce the power distribution distance and associated power supply losses.

GaNFast Technology with 16 NV6034 Transistors:
The power architecture incorporates 16 GaNFast NV6034 transistors on the primary side.
These devices have a nominal voltage of 650 V and a forward resistance of 18 mΩ.
The transistors are configured in a stacked half-bridge topology.
The design also utilizes Navitas' 8 × 8 mm DFN package with dual-sided cooling.
The use of these components is part of the architecture developed by the company for power conversion from 800 VDC.

Navitas Expands its 800VDC Power Platform:
The new 24kW board expands Navitas' portfolio of solutions for AI data centers with 800VDC architectures.
This development complements the previously announced 20kW board with 800V to 6V conversion, also developed in collaboration with NVIDIA.
Both solutions are part of the Navitas 2.0 strategy, focused on expanding the use of GaN and SiC-based power technologies in AI infrastructures.
The company notes that its portfolio of 800VDC platforms allows for the selection of different intermediate bus voltages and voltage regulation architectures based on the power requirements of each system.
Chris Allexandre, President and CEO of Navitas, emphasizes that the collaboration with NVIDIA focuses on developing new power supply architectures capable of meeting the growing power demands of AI infrastructure.
