25mm high Mini-ITX THIN with abundant I/O for machine vision and robotic applications
Designed to support space-constrained applications, the AIMB-286 THIN Mini-ITX is based on the standard Mini-ITX form factor with an I/O height of only 25 mm (from the top of the PCB), making it ideal for integration in tight spaces. The AIMB-286 offers high-performance computing and multiple expansion interfaces, including an M.2 B key for 4G/LTE connectivity or storage and an M.2 E key for Wi-Fi connectivity. Additionally, the AIMB-286 supports 3 x GbE LAN, 8 x USB (4 x USB 3.0 + 4 x USB 2.0), and a single PCIe x4 slot that allows for the installation of various modular add-in cards. This makes it ideal for factory automation, machine vision, and robotics applications, which typically require multiple video camera connections for video capture, object detection, and examination, such as those used in quality inspection applications for factory production lines. The AIMB-286 also supports 6 x COM (COM2/3 supports RS-232/422/485 autoflow control, COM1 supports 5V/12V) and 16-bit programmable digital I/O, enabling connectivity for peripheral modules and multiple I/O programming.

Advantech also developed two thin enclosures compatible with AIMB-286 (EPC-T2000 and EPC-T3000) to provide customers with a more complete solution. Both the EPC-T2000 and EPC-T3000 offer highly durable and reliable 1U (44 mm) thin system solutions specifically designed for industrial use. They are suitable for embedded applications requiring a ready-to-use slim enclosure solution with powerful computing capabilities and high-performance graphics. Additionally, the EPC-T3000 allows for the installation of a full-height PCIe add-in card, providing flexible expansion for space-constrained applications.
