Analog solutionFurthermore, both power and data are completely isolated. Maxim provides all the necessary hardware design files, sample controller code, and test results to accelerate design development.

Industrial control and automation applications often require isolation, high resolution, and a wide range of input voltages. Many industrial sensors have high or wide-ranging analog output voltages. FPGAs and microcontrollers often cannot directly accept these high analog voltages. The “Cupertino” design solves this problem by providing an interface solution between the sensor and the controller, while integrating power and data in an isolated manner, all within a small footprint of 96.52 mm x 20.32 mm. The Cupertino AFE connects directly to the expansion ports of Digilent PMod™-compliant FPGA/CPU development kits.
