Key new features of congatec boards running Windows 10 IoT:
The Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and IoT Core editions, which Congatec and Microsoft will support for at least 5 years for standard devices and an additional 5 years for customers with extended support, offer a range of security technologies such as Secure Boot, BitLocker, Device Guard, and Credential Guard to ensure comprehensive protection of devices at all times, from power-on to power-off. Whether it's a specific application that needs to be launched or access to unauthorized USB peripherals needs to be blocked, Windows 10 IoT provides the necessary features for any specific device environment.
Furthermore, mandatory Windows activation can be disabled to allow booting in locked network environments. Customers also benefit from built-in interoperability for typical IoT environments with heterogeneous devices, including embedded devices, smartphones, PCs, laptops, and edge, fog, or cloud servers. This simplifies the development of universal applications and also enhances the security and management of IoT applications. It also means developers can focus entirely on their core tasks and expertise.
