Furthermore, this kit is adapted to secondary school students aged between 13 and 17 years old.
The CTC 101 aids in teaching programming and mechatronics with five thematic modules and offers more than 25 hands-on experiments. All kit components are fully reusable, so experiments can be reconfigured and further developed for more advanced projects and students.
Each CTC 101 kit includes enough electronic components for a class of 24 students and one teacher. The kits include over 700 parts and components
• Six Genuino 101 boards with a microcontroller featuring programmable inputs and outputs.
• Six Education Shields. A unit mounted on a Genuino board to facilitate the connection of electronic components.
• Sensor and actuator set: includes light sensors, push-button inputs, tap sensors, potentiometers, touch/capacitive sensors, tilt sensors, an infrared array, a joystick, LED indicators, buzzers, a speaker, and servomotors.
• Component modules: quick-connect modules containing the necessary components.
• Connectors and other components: complete electronics for the remaining necessary elements.
• 26 experiments divided into 5 thematic blocks.
The CTC, or Creative Technologies in the Classroom, is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) program exclusive to Arduino for upper secondary education. Arduino established this educational program to provide educators with the necessary hardware and software tools to create a more hands-on and innovative learning experience.
Students learn the fundamentals of programming, electronics, and mechatronics through a series of well-documented projects and easy-to-assemble experiments. Training for the program is available online and through a series of recorded lessons, support materials, and discussion forums, all accessible via Arduino.
At the moment, the CTC 101 kit is only available from RS Components.
