BLDC FOC 2 Click provides robust and reliable control of three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motors using advanced field-oriented control (FOC) techniques, ensuring smooth operation, high efficiency, and low acoustic noise.
The BLDC FOC 2 Click is based on the A89307, an automotive-grade BLDC FOC controller from Allegro Microsystems, designed to deliver up to 15 A of output current over a wide voltage range of 4.4 V to 30 V. It supports multiple operating modes, including constant speed, torque, power, and open-loop control, and offers flexible configuration via EEPROM and an I2C interface for parameter tuning, on/off control, and speed feedback. It also integrates Allegro's proprietary Soft-On Soft-Off (SOSO) function for silent transitions, comprehensive protection mechanisms, and both analog and digital control modes.
The board also incorporates the ClickID function, enabling automatic identification by the host system, simplifying its use. The devices can be used in any mikroBUS™-compliant system and include the open-source mikroSDK libraries, providing extensive flexibility for evaluation and customization.
