Powered by the Zynq-7000S family of SoCs, which features a single-core ARM® Cortex™-A9 processor paired with 28nm Artix®-7-based programmable logic, MiniZed represents the lowest-cost entry point to the Xilinx Zynq-7000 scalable All Programmable SoC development platform. The MiniZed's compact design, small enough to fit in a shirt pocket, offers onboard connectivity via USB, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Peripherals can be connected to Pmod-compatible headers, the Arduino-compatible display interface, or the USB 2.0 host interface. User LEDs, a button, and a switch enable a physical board interface, while JTAG circuitry is integrated into the MiniZed baseboard. Tutorials, available for download at www.minized.org, use the built-in microphone as an input example to demonstrate how to easily implement filters and FFTs on fabric. The onboard eMMC (8 GB) provides ample storage for the operating system, files, and logs.
The MiniZed platform is supported by the community website www.minized.org, where users can collaborate with other engineers also working on Zynq designs.
