Sensitec has developed this kit for use with any application where movement is controlled by measuring and detecting magnetic, electrical or mechanical parameters such as angles, trajectories and positions.
Targeting markets such as automation, automotive, aerospace, machine tools and medical biosensors, the EBK7000 development kit introduces Sensitec's magnetoresistive (MR) sensor technology and allows users to experiment with the technology and learn how various factors such as magnetic pole length, distance and interpolation factor affect the resolution of the measured signal.
The kit is designed as an expansion board for an Arduino microcontroller system and allows for software-based adjustment of the interpolation factor and gain. The Arduino microcontroller receives and processes signals from analog and digital sensors. The Arduino plug-in kit utilizes two Wheatstone bridges, positioned opposite each other as part of the sensor technology to facilitate the measurement of absolute angles up to 360°, as well as absolute lengths.
Key applications:
• Automotive sensors used at various measurement points in modern cars and commercial vehicles.
• Automation systems requiring accurate detection of highly dynamic movements and positions using magnetoresistive sensors.
