Based on the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology, the new CWAPs enable higher throughput and improved performance in dense cabin environments, where hundreds of passenger devices rely on seamless connectivity. The platforms support simultaneous multi-band operation and advanced wireless management capabilities, allowing airlines to more efficiently support streaming, connected cabin services, and onboard applications.
Designed for aeronautical environments, the systems integrate advanced security features and real-time RF monitoring to maintain network performance while protecting onboard connectivity systems. Both access points are designed to meet stringent aeronautical standards and ensure reliable operation under demanding aircraft conditions.
The Cab-n-Connect™ A300 is designed to allow customers of previous versions to easily upgrade while continuing to use their existing Cab-n-Connect infrastructure and supports retrofit installations on existing fleets. The Cab-n-Connect™ A301 is also suitable for retrofit deployments, as well as for OEM in-line installation programs, meeting ARINC-based cabin integration standards. Both platforms offer flexible installation options for both new aircraft and fleet upgrades.
“With the Cab-n-Connect™ A300 and A301, we are delivering the industry’s first wireless cabin access points with Wi-Fi 7,” said Yves Beaumont, Avionics Product Manager at Kontron. “Our mission is to provide airlines and connectivity providers with a new generation of wireless infrastructure capable of supporting higher-bandwidth services while maintaining the reliability required in aviation.”
