The new PanelView Plus 6 terminal includes more memory with faster refresh rates and greater on-device storage capacity. Each PanelView Plus 6 includes the latest version of FactoryTalk View Machine Edition (ME) and FactoryTalk ViewPoint, which runs on the Windows CE 6.0 operating system.
FactoryTalk View ME 6.0 software provides PanelView Plus 6 with time-saving design enhancements, including a new, extensive graphics library, improved color animation capabilities, and access to a multi-language font library. The terminal can directly reference tags created in the controller and comes with an option to reduce troubleshooting time and increase uptime. The latest version is compatible with Windows 7 and VMware-certified. FactoryTalk ViewPoint further enhances system interoperability by offering remote access via web-browser-enabled devices. FactoryTalk View ME 6.0 can also be purchased separately to provide PanelView functionality through an Allen-Bradley industrial computer.
For users of distributed operator-machine interfaces, FactoryTalk View Site Edition (SE) 6.0 includes an updated design environment through FactoryTalk View Studio to help build applications faster. Like the ME version, FactoryTalk SE 6.0 now supports Windows 7 and SQL Server 2008, and is the first version certified for VMware. This latest version of FactoryTalk SE also offers FactoryTalk Alarms and Events server redundancy to ensure consistent and common display of alarms and events throughout a complete FactoryTalk system.
