Frenetic AI designs the converter topology based on user constraints and automatically generates electrical schematics and simulation files (LTspice, PLECS). It also suggests suitable magnetic components, both standard and custom.
Dr. Chema Molina, founder and CEO of Frenetic, explains: “Frenetic AI transforms a complex, multi-hour design process into an intuitive, seamless workflow. Engineers can go from specifications to simulation in minutes. Basic users automatically receive complete magnetic specifications, while advanced users can delve into detailed customization and simulation options.”
Currently available as a free basic version, which has been tested on a beta webpage by thousands of electrical engineers worldwide, Frenetic AI will soon be offered in a PRO version, which will include premium features such as planar transformer design, suggestions for commercially available components, and additional design insights.
Frenetic AI can be integrated with Frenetic Magnetic Simulator for advanced magnetic component design but can also be used as a standalone module.
Frenetic Magnetic Simulator has also been updated. The original platform offers advanced modeling of copper and core losses, AC signal superposition with high-frequency components, and material and core selection based on application requirements. The latest innovations include a machine learning-based model for calculating lamination winding losses. The new version of Frenetic Magnetic Simulator has been trained with 5,000 FEM simulations across a wide range of designs and offers a mean relative error of 12%, with millisecond response times.
Molina adds: “Frenetic Simulator is used eight hours a day by magnetic design professionals. The launch of multi-condition operating simulation has been another major step toward advancing magnetization optimization capabilities never before seen.”
He continues: “Frenetic is committed to integrating magnetic design into a broader, more connected design process. We are currently working with leading simulation software providers to enable engineers to seamlessly export magnetic designs to full FEM environments for advanced validation. Users benefit from reduced manual modeling effort, a faster transition from conceptual design to FEM-level verification, and improved alignment between simulation layers.”
