CAM2 SmartInspect 1.2 has been optimized to run on all Microsoft Windows™-based Touch PCs and tablets. With the addition of touch functionality, the software is ideal for fully portable measurement applications, making it the first portable metrology software for FARO Laser Trackers and FaroArms available on the market.
New features include a Move Device function that simplifies the inspection of large parts, especially when frequent relocation is required. Users can now move the device during measurement and measure their part from different positions. Furthermore, the quick target match identification function reduces the time required to reposition the arm or laser tracker and significantly mitigates potential user errors.
Other innovative features include voice operation and acoustic feedback. The voice operation function allows users to provide instructions via voice command, facilitating hands-free operation, which results in reduced measurement times and improved portability. The acoustic feedback function provides real-time information and alerts the user when a measurement error has occurred or when the laser tracker beam has broken.
